I read it over and made some notes/questions as l went along. Im sure there are more questions than the ones that l noted. I too hope a lot of people attend the meetings (March 22nd, March 24th in Rama) as as many people as possible have to have understanding, and share this with others, such as our seniors. The more information that is out there, the better chances we have of making informed decisions when it is time to vote.
whats the point of puting the money to teh trust if they just turn around and give TEN millon dollars back to the C+C? then theyll just spend the TEN millon on there friends and more raises. and it said Canada gave them an extra TEM millon dollars to pay back the loans for the costs fo negotating the settlement, so why does C+C want more $$$ for the costs of the settlement - didnt they pay all that wit the loans????? this is just more a the same that C+C has been doin to us for years
After the meeting iam not clear as to we the members can have the trust amended. As we realy did,nt get an answer, I find that all the meetings was a waste of time as the trust is not the way the people wanted it.We were to see the trust then talk about it. Chief and council said there was no time to have more meetings . So if thats the case hope we can have a meeting and talk about it after the vote. As for the Ten million thats is for the programs you now have we were told sorry but i had to laugh when Ron said it does,nt go into there pockets , well if its going into the Band account then yes it is.What should have happened was the person from the Trust company that we have been talking to at the meetings we had should have been there, not some one who could,nt answer the questions. But as we were told the trust was made up by C&C Rick and the lawyer.I see no need to have a Trustee nomination committee, appointed by C&C. Chief and Council can make minor amendments we asked what that means but do not get it answered.
