Communication

 When you are elected to be A chief or a councilor its your job to talk to the people even tho  you may not want to or like them or don,t agree with opinion . It has gotten so in Rama  that i guess they feel this is,nt part of the high paying jobs. When you  email a question to C$C you receive a email back from the Band Manger. There is no more community meetings, And if they don,t want to see you in council they don,t. Communication with the members well there is none.They should be punching a time clock, in the real world you dont, get paid unless you are there.But they have created there own world as to what they think it is to be a Chief or Councilor.Just saying ....

    If I was a member of Chief and Council, I would want to speak with the members directly. After all, as an elected official, it is your duty to be the spokesperson for the people. How else can you know where people are coming from if you don't have direct communication? I guess Rama's leaders just don't care, at least until election time comes around. lol.

      Well this year is election ,so wont to say then why don't us members get together and vote all new ones....seems after a person in office for 4 or 5 terms we should be putting in new and fresh ideas an blood even it means to vote aganist family.....that's my 2 cents and I'm going to vote different this time last time there was some new blood offered with great idea's we need keep in mind those people if they run again at election time.....

    Voteing for your family just does not get us any where. I want to see all new people for council and for god sakes a different Chief. I want people to run not just for the money no one is getting my vote unless the wages for Chief and Council change i feel if you are going to be a Chief you should live in the community .

    Agree that the Chief should live in the community.I guess it does help some people if your family is a chief or councillor . That way of thinking has to stop as for wages well the pots run dry. Cheryle Snache

      So all agree that we as members start to take a part in how our community is ran...Starting with a whole new set of Chief and Councillor's. out with the whole bunch not a one, of the present ones left in office so lets start working now gain ground before August...Good wage is one thing but this bunch has priced them self out of jobs....when a member says they don't vote, then they giving away their rights so ever one you meet encourge them to get out and vote an by all means start going to the meeting's in or community...Don't give your VOICE away......VOTE!!!! VOTE!!!! OUT WITH OLD IN WITH THE NEW........

    I have two questions for C & C;
    1.Why don't we hear from our Portfolio counsellors at the meetings or in the Newsletter, on what is happening in your corner?
    As a voting community member, it is imparative that I know who is responsible for improvements in the communty, if any, therefore he/she will get my vote.
    2. Can we have a breakdown of the Trust Fund, so that we can see how the funds are distributed.
