Rama began talking about a membership code in the 70s and once again now, They want to establish a code that reflect the Chippewas of Rama,s values and beliefs. What are they? What is the heritage of our First Nation?
Wow, you really have to frigging clue if you have to ask that. Your so lost, you don't even know who you are.....you just shown us all this to be true.
Ignorant comments like this piss me off ,especially when posted "Anonymously". I would hardly call the author of this blog 'lost'. I think it's you who doesn't have a clue, as your post doesn't even make sense. The original post was posed as a question, intended to cause the reader to think about the questions around history, heritage and collective values. You clearly disregarded this and immediately jumped in to judgement mode. Quit hiding behind an anonymous facade if you're going to be so judgemental. It's cowardly and lame. I'd like to see you post with your name or say it to the authors face.
What i said was the goal set out by your C$C on how a membership code should be written.Take the time what there putting out there. Before you jump on what i wrote. Heritage is a non native word. should,nt even be in there . Iam asking members how there membership code should be written there ideas. Mine no more non natives adopted and given membership no more transfer. Just saying CheryleSnache
Anonymous if you don.t like what members say on this blog then stop reading it. And i lived in Peterborough for 17 years but was not born there. I have been in Rama home of my Mother and my grand father and grandmother for all most forty years so this is my home. And all was will be.. cheryle Snache
A new membership code for Rama is certainly a good thing. Its the Indian Act that governs that right now. A new membership code has to be developed; but the people must have a say and help develop it. The more the people have input into the code the better. So many First Nations in Canada already have a membership code, Rama is behind on this.
As for the people posting Anonymous; It's always bothered me that people do that. Why even post something if your not willing to say who you are and where you come from. Be proud of who you are.

DeleteHoly Anonymous! Maybe if we had more "complainers" our home wouldn't be overrun by power hungry, greed driven, egotistical spiritless machines.
